Glenn Wood Tap Examinations

At Sydney Performing Arts Academy, we proudly offer Glenn Wood Tap (GWT) examinations, an enriching experience that builds confidence and fosters a sense of achievement in our students. These fun and interactive exams are conducted by dedicated GWT examiners who create a supportive and encouraging environment, ensuring every student feels at ease and inspired to perform at their best. Throughout the year, our students diligently learn the GWT syllabus, mastering techniques and preparing for their exams with focused training and personalised guidance. As the exam approaches, our students embark on the exciting journey of refining their tap skills, boosting their confidence, and polishing their performance to showcase their full potential. It’s a transformative experience that inspires a love for learning and sets the foundation for lifelong growth in dance!

Acrobatic Arts Examinations

At Sydney Performing Arts Academy, we are delighted to guide our students through the Acrobatic Arts examination process, a motivating journey that inspires growth and celebrates achievement. This program is thoughtfully designed to nurture well-rounded acrobats, focusing on flexibility, strength, balance, limbering, and tumbling across twelve progressive levels. Our students prepare with dedication and care, and during the exam, they participate in a supportive class setting led by a qualified examiner who evaluates their skills against a global standard. At every stage, we emphasise personal growth and success, with each dancer receiving detailed feedback highlighting their strengths and areas to improve. Those who complete their level earn a certificate to commemorate their hard work, while achieving a ‘Distinction’ is rewarded with a custom medal. At Sydney Performing Arts Academy, we are proud to provide this rewarding experience, fostering confidence and celebrating every step of our students’ acrobatic journeys.

Community Performances

At Sydney Performing Arts Academy, we are passionate about giving all our students the chance to shine and sparkle on stage at a variety of local community events throughout the year. These performances are fun, relaxed, and full of joy, offering students the opportunity to showcase their talents while building confidence in a supportive environment. We love seeing our students connect with the community, make memories, and enjoy plenty of extra wear out of their costumes! These events are more than just performances—they’re celebrations of teamwork, creativity, and the pure love of dance.

We understand at this age children love to dress up as a ballerina. Princess Elsa to a superhero. For these classes our only uniform requirement is pink ballet shoes for girls and black ballet shoes for boys.

You can purchase the correct dance shoes, tutus, leotards and skirts for this age group at Bloch; Rouse Hill Town Centre.
